Racing to Support Catholic schools
Winners of one of the Colfax Marathon’s relays donated their cash prize to Seeds of Hope Charitable Trust this month.
More than $7,200 was raised from the Denver race May 17-18, during which a team of some 50 runners participated to support economically disadvantaged children attending Catholic schools.
One of Seeds of Hope’s relay teams won the Men’s Corporate Cup division relay and earned $2,500, which was given to the charity. Eric Eisinger, Joey Eisinger, Jason Hilgers, Taylor Ronne and Jon Pink completed the 26.2-mile marathon with a time of 2:44:33. They were awarded a check June 16.
“These proceeds will directly support tuition assistance for students in this next school year. We are so thankful that Eric and his team chose Seeds of Hope as the recipient of their hard work,” said Seeds of Hope director Natalie Mesko.
