Citius Run Club (Citius RC)
We are a Denver-based run club, and we’ve been logging miles together since 2017. We are about community and cheering each other on. Our paces and training approaches are diverse: you’ll meet runners focused on PRs and qualifying goals alongside runners dropping in for some fun miles between all the other adventures Colorado has to offer. You’ll run into Citius runners at road races, trail races, the Olympic Trials, and beer miles. You’ll also find us out and about in the mountains, at local breweries, and biking and walking around the parks–we like each other and tend to socialize outside of running, too.
We do not charge dues or fees, and the best way to learn about Citius is to show up to one of our runs (see below). You can count on having clear pace groups (typically between 7-10 min/mile), posted routes, and friendly leaders at all of our official runs. Most of our club communication happens on our club Slack group, club Strava page, and Instagram (@citiusrc).
When and where:
Saturday long run, 7am (summer) or 8am, rotating locations at coffee shops, marketplaces, and running stores throughout Denver.
The standard run is 8 miles with options to add on or cut short. Pace groups are usually offered from 7 – 10 min/miles and a walking group.
Track Tuesday – 5:30am, rotates between South High School and North High School tracks.
We warm up at 5:30am and then do a track workout. There is always a suggested workout, but runners can also choose their own adventure!
We have other regular but less official team runs, such as a tempo workout Thursday mornings (5:30am, South HS parking lot) and an all comers’ Friday morning run (6am, rotating coffee shops in Denver).

Rocky Mountain Road Runners
Rocky Mountain Road Runners is a non-profit, all volunteer running community that provides our members and guests with monthly races and year-round training opportunities throughout the Denver metro area. Our monthly Trophy Series races give you an inexpensive way to race your running friends, and our track and marathon training programs help you build your fitness and get ready for that goal race you’ve had in mind.
In 2024, the club will be celebrating our 65th anniversary. We were awarded the 2018 “Best Run Club” in Denver by Westword. Individual memberships are just $50, families are $75, and include entry to our monthly Trophy Series races, Summer Track Workouts and other select events throughout the year.
The Trophy Series is RMRR’s monthly race series featuring a unique handicap scoring system. Participants are given different starting times based on ability. In theory, if everyone runs their predicted time, everyone finishes at the same time. So racers of all abilities have an equal chance of winning. Each race in the series is in a different location and the distances vary from 2 to 10 miles, traditionally on the first Sunday of each month.
RMRR’s Marathon Training Series provides a set of three 10M or 20M races in the spring and fall that are low cost, friendly, fully supported, and officially timed. All you need to do is focus on your running! Our races fit perfectly in training schedules for Colfax, Boston, New York, Chicago, and other full and half marathons. Everyone is welcome at our MTS races: RMRR members, guests, training team members, everyone!
