Race Weekend Logistics – 2025

Your Race Day Hints and Logistics for your race distance are below!  You’ll want to print out these pdf’s and get prepped on the details.  Relay Team Instructions are especially helpful.  Scroll down for Traffic Closures and Spectator Instructions.

  • Cigna Denver Colfax Marathon Expo – Friday 1:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm
  • 5K – Saturday, 9:00am start.  Party in City Park until 12:30pm
  • Main Race Day – Sunday, 6:00am start for the Marathon and Marathon Relay.  6:30am start for the Half Marathon.  7:45am-9:00am staggered start for the Urban 10 Miler.  Party in City Park until 1:30pm

 

Expo - Cigna Denver Colfax Marathon Expo

If you are running the Marathon, Half Marathon, Urban 10, or Marathon Relay this is the ONLY place you can pick up your bib, shirt & instructions.  You are required to attend.  5K runners see below.  Visit the Cigna Denver Colfax Marathon Expo  page for hours and location.  Please note – individual runners and team captains (not team runners) will receive an email on Thursday, May 15th, 2025 with their bib number.  The expo is Friday and Saturday, May 16-17-2025.  Click here for more information, including paperwork on having another runner pick up your packet.

Marathon - Logistics

Half Marathon - Logistics

Print out your Half Marathon Race Day Hints & Expo Checklist.  One side will remind you of the steps at the Expo, the other side includes your MUST KNOWS to have a great Race Day.  Race is Sunday, May 18 at 6:30am.

Urban 10 Miler - Logistics

REMEMBER the Urban 10 is a staggered start with start times between 7:45am and 9am  (based on the wave letter on your bib).  This is a point to point race, so you do not start at City Park.

Two things to print:

1. Urban 10 Miler Race Day Hints & Expo Checklist.  One side will remind you of the steps at the Expo, the other side includes your MUST KNOWS to have a great Race Day.

2. Urban 10 parking pass – it also contains directions on where to park (and how to return to your car).

Race is Sunday, May 18, staggered starts from 7:45am to 9:00am.

Marathon Relay - Logistics

Teams that plan ahead have the most fun Race Day!

Two things to print:

1.  Race Day Hints and Expo Checklist – one side contains the steps you need to take at the Expo.  The other side is a quick reminder of what to do on race day.

2.  Detailed Relay Instructions to help your team plan in advance.  There are hints on how to organize your team – including choosing legs, estimating Race Day timing, attending the expo and detailed driving and parking directions

Reminder – before Race Weekend, team runners must sign their waivers.

Race is Sunday, May 19 at 6:00am.

Colfax 5K - Logistics

Remember – you can get your bib and shirt at the Cigna Denver Colfax Marathon Expo on Friday at Empower Field at Mile High Friday, May 16 between 1pm and 7pm.   OR – for the 5K only – you can get your bib and shirt at 7:30am at the Start of the Race in City Park (near the Start Line in the meadow behind the Denver Museum of Nature and Science).  Race is Saturday, May 17 at 9:00am.

Our Start Line is the Official Start Line of the Marathon!  It is in City Park – by the lake – west of the Museum, and near the Finish Line.  Visit the Colfax 5K Race page to learn more and view the course.

Note – The main 5K is at 9am.  There is a 2nd 5K at 10:30 just for Girls on the Run.

Runner Tracking - by Chip and using RaceJoy app

Info for Runners and Spectators!  Print Runner Tracking details on the two options.  Two runner tracking options exist:

  • View Official Live Results during the race and post race on our Results Page
  • RaceJoy app tracking via your phone’s GPS.  Carry a phone and get mile by mile updates yourself and your spectators
